Hi guys, please help if you can. We have a routed network with 2 subnets. Subnet 1 - 2 win2K Domain controllers, 10Mbps segment Subnet 2 - 1 win2K domain controller, 1 NT4 domain controller, 100Mbps Here lies the problem. One of the domain controllers on subnet 1 is shut down. A user with a machine on this same subnet wants to log on - logically, should be able to by the other domain controller on the same subnet. But for some stupid reason, this domain controller is not validating logon requests, and the user cannot logon. This same domain controller has the same user accounts as what exists on the other DCs, so I know that synchronisation is working. Its just not validating logons. It is frustrating the hell out of me. The netlogon service is running. Im at my wits end. I would so much appreciate your guys' expertise. Thank you. Simon Harding simieh@bigpond.com
