I noticed a severe flaw in the rating of success in the entertainment
business (even regarding news) in the news media, and this is counting
the success not by cost vs. sales; aka profits, but in sales alone,
assuming those figures are accurate. For instance a film that costs
500,000 and makes 2 million in the BO is more successful than a
picture that costs 64 Million to make and makes 14 million. The
problem here is that the real success making 2 million gets short
changed by hype alone and nothing more. While a total flop can stay
in the theatres a flop, but yet a hyped up media success usually to
kiss someone's ass and masturbate someone's ego.
