Slow? In comparison to what. We did a benchmark test on this NG some time
agao and in a prime number test VO was marginally (and I mean marginally)
slower than Delphi. I wouldn't mind betting, however, that that 'marginal'
result would reverse when databases are being processed. But then perhaps
your apps don't use databases?

Hard to learn. Well is Delphi is easy to learn, I'd hazard a guess that by
my learning VO I now know more about OOP programming and use of the Win32
API than you do. The point being that the only 'difficult' things about
learning VO are learning about OOP and Windows progamming in general. The
rest of it is straight (albeit enhanced) Clipper (and, by and large, can be
imported).

Sounds like you never went beyond the early versions of VO1 and haven't even
seen VO2.
