Dave thanks for your help. It turns out that the "set alternate to filename" command works to create the print file. My problem now is in order to use the print file that I have created I have to run a Windows program (DOSPRINT) from within my dos based dbase program. A little history of where I am coming from may be helpful: Years ago I created a program using dbase (not dbase3+). I compiled the program using Clipper (4/86). I have neither the time nor desire to recreate the program in Access . I need to run a windows application while my dos based program is running. Do you know how I can do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
