READING, BERKSHIRE, UNITED KINGDOM (17th November 1998) Ambitus Limited
announced today that Joe Celko (renowned SQL guru, author of "SQL For
Smarties", "Instant SQL", "SQL Puzzles & Answers" and over 400 magazine
articles including his regular "Puzzles & Answers" column in DBMS Magazine)
is to headline their seminar programme for 1999. The two-day seminar is to
take place in Maidenhead, Berkshire, United Kingdom on the 18th/19th of
January 1999.

"We are delighted that Joe has agreed to take part in our seminar programme"
said Phil Stubbington, Projects Director at Ambitus Limited. "This is an
excellent opportunity for SQL users to hear some of Joe's tip and tricks for
effective, high performance coding first hand." he added.

Joe Celko added "Learning SQL is not really hard; the hard part is
un-learning everything you know from procedural programming languages. SQL
is based on sets and not single records, has three valued logic instead of
Boolean algebra and explicitly deals with missing values. That is a lot of
old ideas to leave behind all at once!"
