Help me find a searchable database program. One that allows (GIF?) headlines on stories.

I currently run our web page at www.petroleumnewsalaska.com
And I'm learning as I go, so humor me!

We're a monthly newspaper, and I'm looking for a searchable database
program. The database will consist of all our past stories/editorials. A
user should be able to search by keyword(s). Basically, I really only need
it to support text, but it sure would be nice if each story could have a
fancy headline, probably in a GIF format.

This is for our web page, but I also want to be able (legally and
physically) to burn the whole database and it's program to a CD.

If you have any suggestions, email me at pnadanw@alaska.net

Thank you,
Dan
