My provider has offered me a free upgrade. I have a choice between a Nokia 6230 and an Ericsson T630. Currently have a Nokia 8210. Don't know much about connectivity. Main requirements are: 1. LapTop. Connectivity between phone and IBM A31p Thinkpad laptop via BlueTooth or Wi-Fi comms to sync phone sms/contacts with Nokia/Ericsson desktop client. Small print in 6230 phone brochure indicates that supplied Nokia desktop client does not sync phone book data. Wonder if this is correct as my Current 8210 desktop client does sync phone book data via infra red. Heard Ericsson have the best bluetooth implementation. Is that still the case? What are the practical advantages if any of BlueTooth over Wi-Fi. 2. Palm Pilot Tungsten C. Connectivity between Palm Pilot Tungsten C and Phone to sync sms/contacts data via infra red as Tungsten C is not bluetooth enabled. Any issues with link to Palm? 3. Internet. Don't intend to use phone to browse internet. However may have the occasional need to download email to Palm Pilot. Currently download email to Palm through 8210 data line and built in 8210 modem via infra red link. How would this work on the 6230/T630 given that I want to keep the email on the Palm. Thanks in advance.

Haven't tested the 6230 rigorously ... but T630 had passed that connectivity test back home in our Indonesian cell phone user forum .. IMO .. get the T630 .. the black ones if you can :) =bob= "Sword" <chppxf1@NO_SPAM__yahoo.com.au> wrote in message news:jKhnc.615$UC4.19805@nnrp1.ozemail.com.au... > My provider has offered me a free upgrade.
