FTP from Web browser

I'm using Termite Internet to browse the Web. Until recently,
FTP using the web browser worked fine but now I get a message
about the proxy denying access. It doesn't seem to matter which
site the FTP is from.

In the WWW style window, I have the following:

HTTP PROXY <nothing>
FTP PROXY HTTP://wwwcache.hensa.ac.uk:8080/
WAIS PROXY HTTP://wwwcache.hensa.ac.uk/

I vaguely remember something about Demon setting up their own
proxies some time ago and wonder if the Hensa entries should be
changed.

Any ideas please?

Hensa recently barred to its cache to users outside the academic
community. So, in your WWW style window, replace instances of
wwwcache.hensa.ac.uk with www-cache.demon.co.uk, and you should find
everything works again. ArcWeb comes with this setting for http, ftp, gopher
and wais proxies.

And now, can anyone help me? ArcWeb (versions 1.30 and 1.32) has suddenly
started throwing up a save box whenever it receives an in-line graphic,
instead of simply displaying it. Yet I'm not aware of having altered any
settings. In the Browser Options window, "GIF89 handled by ChangeFSI" is
ticked, as are all five options in the General section.

I presume then you've not been on the Termite Internet Mailing list were
this was talked to death. Yes, you have to use your own Demon cache
I think it is http://www-cache.demon.co.uk:8080/

You need to alter the WWW setting in the Style Editor. Good Luck!

Should I take this opportunity to make a dig at DoggySoft for being rather
silly and relying on an external proxy to do it's dirty work? OK, not today.
