The kind of browsers or other equipment people use, are of less
importance, so I think you're on the right way there.

Whatever you do with your site, try to keep it clean and tidy. If you
want to sell something, my advice is using no frames (or very limited
and discreete ones), no Java or anything else that will distract the
visitor, like a lot of flashing banners, huge images, etc.

It's really annoying to visit a site, maybe just to get some prices and
other information, or simply to place an order for something and the
creator of the site has filled it with so much "technical" garbage that
it takes you 10 minutes just to get past the index page.

I usually leave such places as soon as I can and go to other, less
"flashy" - but faster sites, to place my orders. I've sometimes seen
some horrible, "commercial" sites and I still wonder if they actually
manage to sell anything at all.

The competition is huge out there and if you want to sell something on
the Internet, your site's speed and simplicity are some of the most
important factors to consider, in the constant chase for new costumers..
:)
