DVDFab HD Decryter is my dvd ripper of choice. Have not used CloneCD.
WinAvi Video converter is good so is ConvertXtoDVD.

Whey Clone CD rather than CloneDVD?

Or DVD Shrink - ???

Actually there's no need to pirate Clone CD or CloneDVD - and quite a
few other non time/date critical software.

Just run them via DateCracker 2000 and they never time out.

For what?

As it's running in trial mode, I doubt it.

Considering this is alt.comp./freeware/ & not /warez/ not sure where the
"chuckle" comes in.

I actually own Clone DVD and AnyDVD both come with unlimited updates for
free.

There are so many updates its worth knowing if and when the next version
is available.

The registration comes in the form of a registry key.

I use either for making backup copies of DVD's :) CloneDVD when I want
the rubbish removed and AnyDVD (which works in the background) for a
straight copy through Roxio.

Thanks, didn't see that. So... we don't encourage warez on
alt.comp.freeware.

If you had read my first post you would have seen that I wrote:

"Actually there's no need to pirate Clone CD or CloneDVD - and quite a

Hardly condoning piracy I would have thought.

As for DateCracker 2000 it is nothing more than a souped up .bat file
data base which allows the time and date of the software load to be
retained for future use.

It's so EVIL that it can be downloaded from softpedia, brothersoft,
soft32 and other non warez sites.

So next time, don't be quite so hasty to come on strong to us ordinary
folk in aus.computers.

Cheers

So you're posting more openly now.

"Date Cracker 2000 is a program which removes the date protection from
programs which expire after a specific date."

I don't know that it actually "removes" anything.

From my observation it turns the clock back at program start, and
resets it to the current/correct setting when the program closes.

It doesn't modify the program, just spoofs the software install time
and date.

You could write a .bat file to do something similar.

But it does work well on some programs - including CloneDVD and CloneCD.

It was and probably still is freeware.
