Can an A7V motherboard take a 1.2GHz Athlon ? Would I need to upgrade the BIOS. I am currently running V1007. Also, would I be able to use the new XP chips ? Tony

how can you tell if a cpu is unlocked? I have an A7V board as well and would like to upgrade. does anyone have a procedure on getting a 266FSB cpu to run? My board is currently set to jumperless. Just plug it in. You can set the multiplier with the dipswitch while leaving the rest in jumper free mode.
