Check this out. Follow the Memory Tweak guides. All resources you need are
there.
If you've not done this, you really should. You can double your memory
performance in just a few steps.

SiSoft Scores before tweak: 150/150
After tweak: 305/300

I'm dead serious. Read the User Experiences link to see other amazing score
increases.
Be Warned: Your system may crash while using this program, and it caused
some major problems for me. You might want to head straight for the WPCRSET
section of the guide and just insert the needed tweaks there. If your system
does crash, don't worry if Windows doesn't start, or if it won't POST. Give
it a few minutes, open it up, switch DIMM slots, your RAM is not fried. I
thought I fried 256MB and almost cried until I got it working again.

Yeah, I know. I forgot it's only for people using the older Apollo Pro and
KX/KT133 Chipsets...sorry

Heh, I guess I just got too excited about the amazing results

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

"Don't worry if it won't post" !!!!
I like your optimism in the face of danger. I'm asking myself, If a system
won't post.... surely there's been a fry-up.

My Asus AV7133 has Optimal setting in Bios - enables 4 way interleaving and
as you state, it really does make memory throughput fly.

Or, you could just spend the $80.00 for a new stick of 256MB RAM.

Adding more RAM won't make it faster. Enabling 4 way interleave will.
Besides,if he adds more RAM,he'll want to speed that up too.
