Hello, To solve the curling paper problem - you may want to buy a Premium 24 Pound(weight) paper. In the US get the IBM Premium Document Laser paper. It still will curl - especially if the humidity is high and the temperature is HOT outside and inside, but if you roll it while the paper is still warm from the laser, it will flatted out!! I'm sure there is something as good where you are!! Starz_Kid... You machine is too hot. Check ventilating fans are working properly and see if the ventilating holes are blocked in any way way. Even a slight blockage is a no no. some paper MUST be used in a certain way, with one side printed first if you do double side and print in the wrong order on the faces it curls really bad! Check the instructions on your paper package and check what's the paper path in your machine Cristian Croitoru "whitebeard" : > this is perhaps Off Topic for this group and apologise for that > > i have purchased a new laser printer [canon LBP1210] to print double > sided brochures with, It is certainly cheap tio run and very fast > however it has a problem that i am not able to find the answer to from > google / groups etc etc.. > the paper [80gsm optix] curls afetr printing and i cant get it to go > flat enough to process through a folding machine > if any body has information or can direct me to resources re this > subject i would be most appreciative > tnx >

The paper has been put in the printer upside down. Paper is initially stored and transported on a gigantic roll and then is cut to size and packed and so keeps a slight curve even when stored in a pack of cut sheets for a while. In my experience (which includes a few months services laser printers) The worst cause of paper jams due to curling is trying to print double sided on a machine not designed for it . The dampness of the paper may contribute a bit more. However damp paper wont tolerate laser printing - the moisture makes the paper conduct, and so the printing goes all blurry.
