I'm also having this same problem with my CL SB PCI 128 card locking up my
system. It will start to play about 8-12 seconds of sound and then hang
hard, I have to then power down to get it reset.

I have the following configuration:
AMD K7 7000 MHz
Abit KA7
192 MB PC100 SDRAM
Matrox Mil. G200 (AGP Slot)
Adaptec 2940UW (PCI 1 Slot)
SB PCI128 (PCI 2 Slot)
Empty (PCI 3 Slot)
D-Link 10/100 NIC (PCI 4 Slot)
Empty (PCI 5 Slot)
Empty (PCI 6 Slot)
USR 33.6 Fax Modem (ISA Slot)

I've tried moving the SB PCI card from 2 --> 3 --> 5 --> 6 and still the
same results, starts to play the music and then just locks up. I've also
attempted to manually set the IRQ, which is a little confusion, but that
still didn't work. I've read of others that just simply replaced this card
since they had so much trouble with it and used a CL SB Live! which did away
with the problem.

Any suggestions?
