I am currently running Windows '95 B on my computer: TMC AI5VG+ motherboard (VIA MVP3) AMD K6-2 350 with 64 MB RAM Diamond Stealth III S540 Xtreme also modem, soundcard other essentials I have a few minor niggling bugs with this which I am told might be fixed with an OS upgrade, but is it worth the fuss? I have both an OEM copy of Win 98 and an OEM of Win 98 SE available for me to use. Can I upgrade without reformatting the Windows partition over the current installation? Do I have to install to a fresh partition and is it possible to copy the essential files needed to replace program registry / system settings?

I've found that it is far better to install the new OS especially if you need USB support, also more software functions better regards Dave Jimbo <jonbigbottom@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:8abtih$dso$1@plutonium.btinternet.com... > I am currently running Windows '95 B on my computer: > TMC AI5VG+ motherboard (VIA MVP3) > AMD K6-2 350 with 64 MB RAM > Diamond Stealth III S540 Xtreme > also modem, soundcard other essentials > > I have a few minor niggling bugs with this which I am told might be fixed > with an OS upgrade, but is it worth the fuss? > > I have both an OEM copy of Win 98 and an OEM of Win 98 SE available for me > to use.
