Guys

Sorry for the long outage. Someone claimed that she is from "XOOM"
adminitrative side and asked me for password so as to continue my account or
else they will terminate my account. Who knows that she actually logged into
my server and replaced my files with junks!!! Anyway, it's up again...you
can continue to download your favourite wallpapers for your beloved
overclocked system.

Regards

P.S: New versions coming soon...watch out for them.

Sir, I'm from American Excess! We have encounterd a Y2K problem with
our server! Please mail me your Credit Card Number, so we can still
provide service for you the next year!

Mail it to enough people and you will catch the dumb one that will
answer. :-)

KALLE

P.S: This was ironic! I don't want your credit card number!

Idiot.

It says in their TOS that they'd NEVER ask you for your password.

But, chances are

1) it wasn't a she who wrote you (do you know how many guys inpersonate
girls on the 'net? It's pretty easy to tell, and you always should be
careful...),

2) he (I say this because it probably was) probably would've wrote a msg
to XOOM saying that your site had pirate stuff or porn, which would've
probably gotten it wiped (since the bastards at XOOM don't check before
they nuke anyway), and

3) when in doubt, use your own webspace that you pay for.

XOOM spews too much garbage anyway. They give you unlimited space, but
they have all those bloody banners.

Xoom isn't any different. AFAIR, Tripod, Angelfire, and VirtualAve also
have it.

That's always a good idea. But sometimes you need it. Someone should
invent a web browser with a Javascript ON/OFF switch right in front of
you.

Hey, how come this thread's x-posted on so many ngs?

Free.prohosting.com gives you a nice account _without_ any popups,
banners or anything else than you put there. I have my band's webpage
there, check it out if you like:
