afaik, no cyrix cpu has ever run at 83mhz due to that being a very unstable bus
speed for the rest of the system to be at (i've killed older hard drives just by
having them plugged into a 83mhz fsb celeron)

check on the metal core cover of the processor itself, they used to write the
intended bus speed and multiplier on the cpu. i'm trying to find a spec sheet on
the cpu for you now...

you'd be well-advised to do this fast, years ago i heavily crippled my old cyrix
pr200 when my softset bios used a higher fsb (and lower multiplier) than it was
intended to run at

i've also seen a system come from a manufacturer (cw supplies in adelaide) with
the incorrect cyrix bus speed set and the processor going faulty
