Logitech's manual says that you can use the cordless devices up to six feet away from the receiving unit. In reality, one can use the devices over greater distances, but Logitech has a good reason for specifying 6 feet (2 m). The reason is known as interference. To wit, if two wireless mice or keyboards are within 6 feet of each other, there is an excellent chance of cross talk between the two receivers. This is true because, afik, all of the Logitech wireless devices use the same frequency. There is no way to change this.
