Hoping someone out there can help me. I have a CTX AMD K62 W/3D running Windows 98. I have two USB devices I have tried to get working and cannot. When I install the OS it appears that everything is fine, all the drivers are loaded properly everything appears to be OK. When I actually plug a device into one of the USB ports (there are two on board), it doesn't work and in the device manager there is a message that says: "Due to hub transfer reqest failures a hub has been desabled. Check your computer's cabling and devices then restart your computer." Now what makes this even more difficult to undestand is I've created a seperate partition on the system and loaded Windows 95 with OSR2 on it. I installed the USB support and everything appears OK. I installed a device and it works! Great. That tells me the hardware works. So I've re-installed Windows 98 a number of times, tried Windows 98 SE, and even tried Windows 95 with OSR2 again on the other partition and can't get it to work. It continues to work in the one partition but nothing I do seems to make it work in the other partition. I need it to work with Windows 98 as I have a device that will only work under Windows 98. I'm looking for any suggestions. I tried to call CTX but since my system is about 5 months out of the one year warranty support they won't speak to me without a credit card (I wouldn't even mind that if I was sure they could help me but I have real doubts). Besides I know they will tell me they aren't supporting a system with two boot partitions. So I'm looking for any type of suggestions. I've searched MS web sight, news groups, and general searches on the net. Zip, nada, nothing.... So this is a last ditch effort to find someone who might be able to help me, or at least steer me in the right direction. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks. I don't follow the different Newsgroups that often so please respond to: kevinjdoran@yahoo.com Thanks.
