System reboots alone...

Hi,

sorry for the cross-posting, but i didnt know where to send it.

My children's PC has a problem. It comes from the time i was repairing a
problem with the configuration of the CD-ROM (finally it was just a deleted
driver). I guess i did something wrong (but i dont know what) and now the
problem is that when you shut down the machine thru the W98 menu, it
effectively shuts down the PC but inmediately it starts up again (of course,
not using the command "Reboot"). The only way that we have now to really
shut down the system is to wait until the finishing routines are over and
then the processor starts again. At that point, we must pushed the on/off
button to unplug electrically the system without fear to damage the open
files.

Does anybody know how to return to give the control to the software to do
the work correctly?

The PC is a DELL type, Pentium 166, and I dont know how to come into the
Setup. It doesnt work as clonic PC with the "Del" key. That's an added
trouble to take into account.

I would appreciate if you email me to fepeguiNONESPAM@hotmail.com (take out
NONESPAM).

Thank you very much in advance.
