I inherited this equipment about 5 years ago; I believe it is all
about 10-12 years old.   It had been used sparingly by the previous
owner (not quite the right tool for the job...), not at all in the
past 5 years.  All items are battery operated and use HP-IL cable
serial loops for interconnecting.  All items are in good physical
condition, although I'm sure the batteries will need replaced/
refurbished as a result of age &/or non-use.  The Printer & Disc Drive
both have charging adapters.  I have ORIGINAL DOCUMENTATION for all
three items.

HP-71:
This was one of HP's early palmtops.  It is programmable and (of
course) works with the Printer & Disc Drive.  The alpha-numeric
keyboard has multi-function keys and a 10-key +operators to the right
side.  There is a scrolling single-line LCD display.  Like many of
HP's early palmtops/calcs, this machine is designed to accept
additional memory &/or program modules, and a program barcode reader
(none included with this offer).

ThinkJet:
When HP ventured into the portable market, this was one of the first
battery-operated portable printers available.  It is basic ThinkJet
technology and still worked fine the last time I used it, although I'm
sure that the ink cartridge is long dead and will need replacement.
Ditto on the battery.

9114A Disc Drive:
From the manual, "The HP 9114A Disc Drive is a battery operated
electronic storage device.  Data and programs from your computer are
stored on a removable flexible disce used with the disc drive.  The HP
9114A uses a [DS] 3 1/2-inch disc providing as much as 710 thousand
characters of storage capacity."  Again, this drive is in good
physical condition, though the battery is probably shot.

Now for the dirty:
I know that this equipment is basically archaic compared to today's
technology.  My guess is, if you're even remotely interested in this
posting you are either A) dependent on a similar HP system and looking
for replacement equipment to keep your system working, or B) a modern
technology museum curator.

insurance costs.  If you are the latter, please EMAIL me an offer, but
bump up the price a bit and I'll consider donating it as long as I can
get a receipt for tax purposes :-)  As you noticed, I'd prefer an
Email response as this posting is going to about 35 newsgroups and
there's no way I'll remember to check all of them religiously for
responses.
