Hi to all programmers, I'm sure that somebody can help me on this: I wrote a media player program and I would like to have on the screen information like time (total, elapsed) or analysis etc, from the playing file (avi, wav). I know about mci functions but the lenth that is returned does not mean anything but only if I use it in cdplayer. Thanks

See description of TMediaPlayer, properties Length and Position. Anatoly

Anatoly, its simple to calculate the percentage of the file played and the amount of time played. I have created my own basic Media Player and would be willing to give you the source code (in Delphi 3) to see how its done. If so, please let me know. Best Regards Antony Giblin.
