hi all, I have a web page that has 2 applets running. 1 is the sun DrawTest applet the other is a an applet which does a bit of animation. The later uses some elements (not sure which) of jdk 1.3.1. Thus to get both applets to display on my page I have to use the HTMLConverter. This is where my problems begin. I'm new to java, let alone ActiveX/COM which is what I'm told HTMLConverter uses to display the 1.3 applets. I have written a piece of JavaScript that (with out the converter business) would take an image from the DrawTest applet and pass it to the other one ( I know that the code is correct). But with the conversion done it wont work, how do I talk through the activeX thing. A mate (who knows his stuff) said there should be a parameter/command such as getParameters that I could called to communicate though the activeX thing to my java classes but as far as he could make out there were no command/options in the plug-in (he was looking at the bean.ocx file using some VB IDE or something like that). any ideas what I can do? Sorry if this mail seems a bit rambling but like I said I'm starting to get way out of my depth here. i realise that my other option is to find out what element of jdk1.3.1 my applet uses and replace them (browsers only support 1.8 or somehting i think), but have no idea how to go about doing it, again any ideas where i can look? Any help is greatly appreciated TIA STEVEC PS I'm not bothered about getting to work on all OS and in all browsers. Win2000 and latest IE is fine :)
