Basic theory? The window() function (<conio.h>) is a wrapper around some INT 10h BIOS function for video adapter. First of all, it is only working in text mode. Its purpose is to create a logical screen whose size is defined by the user. By default, in text mode 80x25, the "window" is 1,1,80,25 that means full screen. If you want a smaller screen (with full wrapping and scrolling facilities, say a text editor, a console, or a debug screen) you need to reduce the "window" to a smaller size, say 1,2,80,24, witch will leave the 1 and 25 lines free for an other use (menus, status etc...) Note that the gotoxy() function is always relative to the current window -- -hs- CLC-FAQ: http://www.eskimo.com/~scs/C-faq/top.html ISO-C Library: http://www.dinkum.com/htm_cl "It's specified.
