Hi,
Please excuse the cross-posting. I use Borland CPPBuilder 3 (THREE). And it
doesn't seem to handle .jpeg files very well.
My application is the simplest thing. It consist of a TImage component, an
OpenDialog component and a button which I use to open and load the files.
Problem is, if i try to open any graphic format files other than *.bmp
(e.g., *.jpg, *gif) the application crashes.
I'd like to either implement an object that will handle *.jpg's and ,
possibly others to handle other formats.
I wouldn't like to have to resort to buying a more recent version of
cppbuilder or a 3rd party plug-in, because I want to try to build the thing
myself.

Any help, pointers?

Ah, a small side thing: I sent the .exe file to my cousin to look at my
first GUI "application", but he got a message that the dll vcl32.bpl was
missing. Funnily enuff, I couldn't "find" this file anywhere on my disk. Any
clue?
