C++ Messenger API problem

To all,
        I am only 15 years old and have being programming since I was 11.

My newest venture is in to the MSN Messenger APIs. I am using Borland C++
Builder Pro 4 and was wondering if you could provide some information about
how to use the API. I have read the documents released by Microsoft and
didn't really understand a word.

If possible could you send me some example files or texts for using the
APIs.

If you can't send me any files I would greatly appreciate any help you could
give.

Thanks in Advance,

Thomas Greenwood

In that case, you should subscribe to news://newsgroups.borland.com
and ask in borland.public.cppbuilder.winapi *on that server*, and not
(like you did now) on the Usenet copy of that group. Borland doesn't
accept feeds from the unauthorised Usenet copies.

You should also not ask in a group like comp.lang.c++, since this is
not an standard C++ question.

Just ignore that guy. There are a lot of assholes here on Usenet. I wasn't aware
there was an API for messenger. If there isn't, there may be some way to grab
what it sends in and out of the sockets somehow and monitor how it behaves. Then
you could write your own functions possibly. Just an idea. Good luck. =)

Since I'm slowly wondering if you meant me, I'll clarify:

I am a moderator on the Borland groups. I *know* that he will get
competent help on using the Messenger API in the newsgroup I proposed,
and that he will only be seen there by the regulars if he connects to
the Borland server, and not to the wild Usenet copies.

I'm not sure how being helpful, and pointing people to *better* places
to ask, where he will get a better answer, is being an asshole.

But I'll stop here (well, everywhere). This is off-topic in all of
these groups. If you want to continue, my e-mail address is valid.

Have a look at Kip's other posting and what happens when someone is
helpful towards him and you'll get an answer to your point.

I see, thanks.
