Hi, I have trouble to cnfigure O@H; One of my friend has English Windows95 and Japanese Windows98 installed in his PC and boot loader by System Commander. The techie came today hook up the cable modem and install the O@H software into the English Windows95 (of couse it works!!) when it's Japanese Windows 98 's term, the techie said that's not him suppose to do (No problem, it's understandable), so I put the O@H cd prepare to do the setup under Japanese win98, after auto run, there is a message appears on screen " this software is not design to run in this locale........" which means we can't go any futher. I restart system and boot into English Win95, use winipcfg to check DNS, DHCP, WINS, Gateway numbers and write them on paper, then boot back to Japanese Win98, from control panel -->network-->tcpip and enter all setting (of couse leave ip by dhcp)..guess what? it does not work!! I know some ppl use Linux to access O@H service, use Winnt as Proxy for LAN, so must have some information can be use for configure the O@H without the software on the CD!! thanks a lot!! Phillip

Phillip, Try changing the localle by going to "regional settings" in the "control panel". Change the regional setting to "english (australia)" while you install it, you should be able to change it back after installation. regards, Tim O Phillip wrote: > Hi, > > I have trouble to cnfigure O@H; One of my friend has English Windows95 and > Japanese Windows98 installed in his PC and boot loader by System Commander. > The techie came today hook up the cable modem and install the O@H software > into the English Windows95 (of couse it works!!) when it's Japanese Windows > 98 's term, the techie said that's not him suppose to do (No problem, it's > understandable), so I put the O@H cd prepare to do the setup under Japanese > win98, after auto run, there is a message appears on screen " this software > is not design to run in this locale........" which means we can't go any > futher. > I restart system and boot into English Win95, use winipcfg to check DNS, > DHCP, WINS, Gateway numbers and write them on paper, then boot back to > Japanese Win98, from control panel -->network-->tcpip and enter all setting > (of couse leave ip by dhcp)..guess what? it does not work!!
