Hello,
I'm looking at buying a Panasonic CD writer (model 7502, external SCSI,
4x8 speed) to work with my beige Macintosh G3/233 (MacOS 8.1).
However, there was a report on www.macintouch.com/g3 that said that this
model was not compatible with G3 Macs. Has anyone found this to be the
case? Or does it in fact work?
(For anyone interested, Panasonic Australia says they don't support the
product & the distributors here also say they don't support the product
with Macs. Why this model then? Well, half the price of any models
available in Mac stores. Still cheaper even when buying the Toast
software separately.)
Thanks for your help.
Kwan.

As a matter of fact, I burned two audio CDs earlier today. Are you able to purchase it with a return understanding if it doesn't work? Incidentally, Toast 4 Deluxe is very nice, particularly if you wish to convert LPs and/or cassettes to CDs. _/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/_/ Len Wines Chair, USC Macintosh User Group President Emeritus, Los Angeles Macintosh Group

I own a beige G3 Desktop 266 MHZ G-3 and am very happy with my Panasonic 7502B. I've burned almost a hundred disks without problem other than it doesn't like Maxell media very well. Beyond that, it works great! Steve
