How does the current crop of digital cameras compare to the results one would get from conventional film 35mm cameras? How about the results of scanning in a typical photograph and printing the result on an Epson Photo Stylus or HP photo printer? The results I've gotten from the latter seem pretty good, and I can't imagine how the resultant DPI from a digital camera could generate a printout close to the 200-300 dpi appearance. What are the general opinions? GMS gmark@svs.com
