Scanner Experts need help

Anybody advise if possible to run two scanners off one PC. Possibly with
the help of hardware profiles or possibly with the aid of switchbox in the
same way as running two printers. Both would be on same SCSI card.
Any suggestions or personal experiences welcome

Connecting is easy enough -- just make sure the two scanners have two
different SCSI IDs (you have 7 blank SCSI IDs to be used).

Sure, scsi boards can run up to 7 devices. Just daisy chain them together, and
terminate the last one on the cable. Each one must be jumpered to a unique
scsi ID.

Hi,

I am currently running a flatbed scanner, a slide scanner, a CD cutter
and SCSI hard disk all off the same SCSI chain on one PC. Make sure each
device has a unique SCSI id and that you terminate the chain correctly
and all should be fine.

Best Regards

I'll second that. I've got and E-3 and a Coolscan running off the 1505
adaptec that came with the Nikon and all works like a charm. going to add a
zip drive soon.

Set the two scanners up on the SCSI card - if its a decent card not a
scanner manufacturer supplied proprietry one like we see these days -
with two different SCSI IDs - SCSI can handle 7 addresses / ids, even
if PCs aren't that smart!!
