Hi, I am having problems with my scanner and DVD system. After successfully installing the scanner under Win98 I found that the DVD drive ceased working. The current HP FAQ instructed me to re-install the DVD software, which I have. I am still having the same problem. I load a DVD disc go to play it and the computer reboots. Ick. Any help would be appreciated. sean dalziel

Go to HPs web and download SJ270EN.EXE. Dbl-click and it will uncomprress into its own folder(sj270)) then run setup. This modifies the aspi layer files so both devices will work. I'm wondering if I should un-install the Shuttle software or build a second Hardware Profile that disables each device... Let me know what you think Sean
