Hey all,

We've come across a problem with many Geforce 8800 and xx cards that seems
to be a potential BIG problem for NVIDIA. It is being reported in many
forums across the Net. So far NVIDIA nor any PSU maker has said any official
statement. It seems to (maybe) be a problem with faulty transistors on many
88xx cards and combination of many PSU's on the market that cause the cards
to squeal at shutdown (low power alarm some say). Other times the card will
squeal during a reboot or motherboard reset. It depends on your Power
Supply..maybe. Another problem and the most annoying one is the constant
electronic buzzing sound caused by many, games. Oblivion and Company Of
Heroes are big ones, as well as many benchmarks like 3D Mark, ATItool's 3D
view and others.
Some say the card is not getting enough power form the PSU. Others say it's
a faulty card. Others say ALL 8800 cards are faulty.

Please test your cards with your games and this tool and listen for a loud
buzzing sound from your card. It's a popular 3D tool don't worry, but it
sets off the buzzing/squealing almost right away on many cards. Please test
your cards and list your makes of video card and Power Supply. If your does
it ask your vendor/manufacturer for support and see if we can nail down this
problem. I think it may be widespread.

I have a XFX Geforce 8800GTX with a OCZ GameXstream 700W PSU and the buzzing
is there. But not at shutdown. With the same card and a Corsair HX620 PSU
the buzzing is still there as well as a shrieking/squealing at shut down.

Here are links to other threads with the same problem. First links are the
sounds itself. Mine is similar but different.

You cross posted this all over hells half acre? To forsale groups?? Have
you a clue? forsale groups??

Anyway I've left the crossposting intact so you can get this message with
whatever group you read.

Myself of course I wouldn't download any program you suggested.

Thank you Internet police. If you have nothing to add then why post other
than to whine.
For Sale Groups usually have alot of Tech savvy people in them. Also I
picked a few groups I read the most. I did not post all over hells half
acre. I just wanted to get the word out without posting the same shit 6
times.

Don't download it or help I don't give a shit now go fuck yourself.

It is refreshing change of pace that he didn't name himself after a
competing video card.

Weren't you just complaining to any and all who would listen to how
gruesome your 8800 Vista experience was/is and you had to go back to XP?

That is completely counter to what you just wrote up there.

Whats your problem with me?

I was complaining about my problem with Vista and 7900's, not 8800's.
This single 8800 has worked great in Vista and when paired with
another 8800 works fine as well.

I think the Mr E (mystery) here is why are you such an asshole.
