problem: Explorer + Geforce software deinstallation

After deinstalling my old graphics card (Geforce 1 sdr, Creative 3D Blaster
Annihilator Geforce256) and uninstalled the associated software, I get an
error message every time I start Internet Explorer 5.5 sp2 or right click on
an entry in the Start Menu.
There seems to be a legacy problem with the Creative Blaster Control
software I deinstalled.
Same goes for Internet Explorer 6 I installed recently.

The error message box:
[this application cannot load the resource library
c:\progra~1\creative\blaste~1\bcshellx.crl. either your system does not have
enough memory to load the resource library or it does not exist.]

> CPU/RAM: Duron900, 256 MB PC133 SD-RAM
> Computer Brand/Model:
> Operating System: Windows 2000 sp2
> BIOS type/revision: Asus A7V 1008
> Motherboard/Chipset: Asus A7V, KT133
> Detailed Hardware: Internet Explorer 5.5 sp2

Someone got a clue where I can clean up the remainder of the Blaster Control
installation or is it something else?

Thanks,
Thomas

1: Go into regedit and remove every entry relating to blaster control.
2: Or re-install blaster control, and uninstall it, making sure to leave
that one file the error message specifies.

Of course, method A is far more effective, and cleaner. Hope you sort it.

Try running RegClean or manually editing the registry to remove references to
bcshellx.crl most likely under Creative software heading.
Cheers, Peter.
