Creative Geforce Annihilator Pro DDR: I tried overclocking the memory from the default 301. Performance increases as expected until I hit about 320. Then something strange happens, performance suddenly becomes worse. It is immediately apparent in the Quake3 menu because the mouse pointer moves very laggy. The benchmark suddenly takes twice as long to complete and is very noticeably slower especially viewing gibs. It is possible to continue increasing the clock up to about 370 before artefacts start appearing, but the performance only increases slightly and is still way below the non-overclocked state. Then returning the clock to default levels does not reinstate the previous performance, even after allowing time to cool. The only thing that returns it to normal is a reboot. So what is going on? Has anyone else seen this sort of behaviour? Specs: Quake3 demo001 Nvidia driver 631 Win2k SP1, PII 450, 128MB, gigabyte 6BXD -- Duncan Boyd

I have the same behaviour with my Asus V7700 GF 2 GTS. But thats why I havent nothing changed on the cooling system. You need a more efficent cooling than they have orginally build in when you want to overclock the card.
