TrackBar Problem

Hi
I'm experiencing problems using trackbars controls.  I can create it, set
the minimum and maximum positions and move the slider with the mouse etc...

My problem is that SendMessage(hTrackBar, TBM_GETPOS , 0, 0);
always returns the initial position of the TrackBar (The one I set using
SETPOS).
My handle is valid because TBM_GETMAXPOS(or whatever)  works.

Why does it always return the initial position? Do I have to set the
position manually at each HSCROLL messages with TBM_SETPOS? Or what?
Help!
