Hello again ! First, many thanks to the people who answered me, and now a try to precisize my problem: Do the laborartory data you know have other relations then 1 to 1 or are there some redundant data which can be reduced by introducing a relation... ? So, my problem is not which tool or programming language to use, not how to *process* the data, but how to *represent* the data efficiently. If you have some knowledge related to this problem, please share them with me! And: *Please* continue the discussion in only one group. I propose the group news:comp.programming Have many thanks in advance ! -- Part 1 was: Do you know some good reasons to put (chemical) *laboratory data* in a relational database (Access or other, no matter) instead of Excel(-like) sheets (which is usualy, as I heared) ? Then please tell me them. I must write a programm to process this data and have to argument my choose. -- mailto:ewald@iname.com
