You may disagree with me, but ... Depends on your perspective. For someone looking from the PC end, some categories mught be: Low-end: available at stores, less than $1000, few consultants, little customization. Not much in the way of security. DacEasy, MYOB, Peachtree, Simply Accounting, QuickBooks Mid-range: sometimes available at stores, normally modular, less than $5000, some consultants, networkable/multi-user. BusinessWorkds, SBT lowend High-end: Sold through VARs, upward of $700 per module, feature rich, international capabilities. ACCPAC Plus, Avista, Great Plains, Macola, Solomon, RealWorld Sky-End: Sophisticated SQL-based or just plain overpriced, upward of $10,000 per module. Pie in the Sky-end: $100,000s of thousands and up. Eric E.
