Chris, I can't understand why you're having so many problems with Netcetera while others are not, myself included. Could it be....how shall I put this mildly?....operator error? I have been using Netcetera for quite some time now. I love the program. It was THE reader that made me get into a windows environment after almost 10 years of being on-line in either a DOS or Unix box. I tried many other readers before selecting Netcetera, including Agent, Dvorak's reader (can't remember the name right now), Pegasus and others. IMHO, none of them were as good as Netcetera when comparing features, reliability, etc. I've always found tech support to be very responsive and timely. I have had nothing but pleasant dealings with them. I consider you lucky that you can pick up the phone and call them if you have a problem. It's far too expensive for me to call from over here in the U.S. You indicated that you are a programmer, no? Welcome to the club.:) You and I both know that nothing goes as planned. You can spend many hours programming an application, thinking you've got all the loop holes covered, only to have the first person to try it have the thing blow up in their face. Admit it...it happens. Give the Netcetera folks a chance to correct the problems that you find. I'm sure that they'll welcome the feedback. But, you've got to use the honey, not the vinegar. O.K. I'm done preaching. I'm extending you a friendly offer to see if your problems can be resolved by those of us that use and like Netcetera. BTW, please look at the headers of this message before you reply. Yes, I am now beta testing a newer version. Make no mistake about it: Like you, I paid for the program well before I became a beta tester. And...no, I'm not getting paid. I do this on my own free time and my own good will. I am happy to report that some of the issues that you've raised when comparing Netcetera to other readers have been addressed in an upcoming release of the program. Rest assured, these are not patches. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Here's hoping you have more success with the program in the future.
