Announcing the newest Release of TelStar: TelStar v1.3 TelStar is a lean and quick telnet client for Windows 95 and NT. It supports and displays visual attributes such as bold, dim, blink, underline, italic, double-width and double-height, and colors. The software supports ansi, vt100, and wyse60 emulations. Numerous options can be specified on the "command-line" when setting up shortcuts, so you can create icons on your desktop specifying different hosts, screen sizes, term emulations, window titles, whether to auto-connect, whether to auto-close on disconnect, etc. Features also include menu-selected tiling of open connections, double-clicking to open a new connection, true pass-through aux print (without eating the escape sequences), and prompted verification if you attempt to close the session other than by logging off. --- New features on this release: - Added -I option to specify a custom title. - Added -P option to specify a connect port. Added PORT entry field to connection dialog box. - Added -X option to allow the shortcut to force a particular position and size when starting up. - Added TILE option to the menu to resize and tile multiple TelStar windows. - Added a message that is displayed when the user tries to abnormally close a telnet session, rather than logging off. --- Distribution: Shareware Author: Gicken Systems email: contact@gicken.com web page: http://www.gicken.com download URL: http://www.gicken.com/telstar.zip screenshot: http://www.gicken.com/telstar_screenshot.gif File date: 98-05-27 File Size: 284,201 (277K)
