Taken from the Official FAQ for comp.sys.be.help (http://www.other-space.com/be/faq.html): 1.2 The purpose of comp.sys.be.help -------------------------------------- In particular, what's on-topic? Basically, anything that asks or answers a question about BeOS (mainly technical questions). General Why-BeOS-is-better-than-any-other-OS posts should go in comp.sys.be.advocacy, and questions about programming for the BeOS are best posted in comp.sys.be.programmer. Please do NOT cross-post to comp.sys.be.misc. -- M.I.K.e

The message has been posted also in be.comp, be.comp.internet, be.comp.os.windows and be.comp.programming. Your "get rid of Windoze and get BeOS, since you are posting to a BeOS newsgroup" is not very appropriate here. Nero

One more reason against such vast cross-postings, which is also why we should let this discussion die since the readers of most of the other newsgroups will begin to complain. > Your "get rid of Windoze and get BeOS, since you are posting to a BeOS > newsgroup" is not very appropriate here. I didn't notice the large number of cross-postings at first since we more and more often get people asking for VBScript advice on comp.sys.be.programmer and so on. After some time this gets really annoying... Nevertheless the error is one of the typical Windows problems, which is why "get rid of Windows" is still appropriate. I'm glad that my internet under BeOS is much more stable. And since I managed to render my WinNT installation at work unbootable by simply installing the official Service Pack 5 I also lost my faith in "oh so stable" WinNT, not that I was happy with that lame duck before... -- M.I.K.e
