Hi, I'm looking for a decent Software Configuration Management tool to run on top of OpenVMS which in turn is running on an Alpha. I have a copy of DECset with it's MMS, CMS, LSE, SCA, TM, PCA and PDF suit (MMS and CMS without the NT interface). However, it doesn't seem to quiet make it as a full blown SCM tool in (for example) the CLEARCASE league. Does anyone know of a tool, either in addition or as a replacement for what I have at the moment that would do a better job? Thanks for any help offered

Take a look at LIFESPAN from BAeSema.
I am not sure of the URL but start at http://www.baesema.co.uk

PVCS/Dimensions (nee PCMS) runs on VMS, OpenVMS, Unix, NT, etc. It is a
full blown, fully integrated SCM system. In fact it is a complete
software lifecycle management system that goes beyond just version,
problem, and change management.
normal disclaimers.... {I just don;t feel creative this am...:-)}

The alt.sys-alpha-micro newsgroup has nothing to do with DEC Alpha computers - please, find a more appropriate newsgroup. Thanks Rod ken@kenmack.demon.co.uk (KM) wrote: >Hi, > >I'm looking for a decent Software Configuration Management tool to run >on top of OpenVMS which in turn is running on an Alpha. Hi, I would like to recommend the Tool 'Process Manager' from Intersolv (formerly PCMS from SQL Software). I have been working with the tool for several years on VMS and UNIX. If you are interested I can give you further information.
