Hi, I have an application which works on a database transmitted by another application via the Exchange manager. In order to facilitate upgrades to this database, I have designed an application to be able to recieved updates via the IR exchange library. Upon recipt of an incoming tranmission with the correct file extension, the exchange manager will call the application with the sysAppLaunchCmdExgReceiveData. When this happens, the application checks if it is active and recieve the data upon confirmation by the user. If the application is not running, the file is simply uploaded to the device.. In the case where the application IS running, I have a problem with the ability to access the new uploaded Database. Before I run my exchange manager recieve function, I close the Database which be overwritten. I then proceed to recieve the new database and then Open it again. The problem occurs as soon as I run DmGetRecord(databaseptr, 0). I know this is wrong because the Database I'm sending, is a loop backed copy of another non-empty database. I must be missing something? How can I safely upload over an existing database? Thanks, Ed
