: Enlighten me, I've never heard of COD how does it work?

COD -- Cash On Delivery. The sender declares a value on the
package which the receiver must pay. The receiver receives
the package, pays the UPS guy, and a little while later, the
money gets paid to the sender.

Pros: In most cases, this is the most "trustworthy" method of
buying/selling on the net. There are no "promises" to send
or receive anything.

Cons: If you need money fast, COD turnaround can be either
fast or painfully slow. I have heard of up to 6 weeks delay.

Worst case scenario:

Buyer wants to buy a 21" monitor from seller for $1500
Seller sends out 20 bricks in a monitor box.
Buyer receives package, and it looks like a monitor. Pays UPS guy
a check for $1500.
Buyer opens the box and finds out he's been duped.
No way to get the check back. Sender gets $1500 free.
