Hello! Trying to develop a program that automaticliy takes pictures, but there is no SDK for the camera part for the PDA mentioned above. Does anyone have a idea what to do? I found some SDK for the old PalmOS, but I guess that it has to be some reason why these arent included into the new SDK. All thoughts are welcome! // Kai

Check out Sony's web site for Sony-specific SDK and development tips: http://www.us.sonypdadev.com/top.html Sony SDK is also included with CodeWarrior 9. HTH, -Ig. My previous post seems crashed. Hope that this is not an repost.
SonyCapLib is missing in Sony SDK 5.0.
I'd try
1) copy the file SonyCapLib.h from SSDK3 to lib of SSDK5
2) remove #ifndef _BUILD_FOR_PALMOS_5_ and #endif pair in the
Capture-Lib session from SonySystemResources.h
3) use the sample code
static void InitSonyCaptureLib()
{
UInt16 capLibRefNum; /* Library Reference Number */
Err err;
/* Checking if library is loaded and acquiring the number */
err = SysLibFind(sonySysLibNameCapture, &capLibRefNum);
if (err) {
/* If the library is not loaded */
err = SysLibLoad(sonySysFileTCaptureLib,
sonySysFileCCaptureLib, & capLibRefNum);
if (err)
{
/* Capture library does not exist */
FrmAlert (CapLibNotExist);
}
}
}
4) Use CW8 and compile and execute on both Sony Palm OS 5.0 Simulator
and NX70
No luck. Caplib can't be loaded
I believe Sony has a new API, capture both static picture and record
movies as well. Perheps sonySysFileCCaptureLib 'SlCp' was changed to
something else that we can't use to load the lib.
Any idea to load the new lib?
Best,
Simon
