IR Hotsync Palm Vx and Ericsson T39M?

Is it possible to Hotsync a Palm OS device and an Ericsson T39M via
Infra-Red directly? I've searched the web and Dejanews for answers and have
come up with nothing. Is there maybe some third party app that will allow
this?

Any and all help greatly appreciated in advance.

Bob.

PS: sorry about the cross-posting.

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the reply, but I'm looking to sync the two devices *without* the
use of a third device (i.e. a laptop). I already have the extendedsystems
software. My mission is to sync my phone with my palm via infra-red
directly. I think a lot of people would be interested in a "computer-less"
solution of this sort.

Thanks again,

Bob.

I have managed to send calendar appointments to my R320s with a
program called SendNames, but nothing more than that. I think you can
get phone numbers synced, but my interest is more with the calendar. I
haven't found any way to get my Palm IIIc receive calendar
appointments sent from the phone and anyways, with the R320s there's
only the option to send one appointment at a time.. Apparently this
would need IrMC reception support on the Palm. I asked about this from
the SendNames author and he said maybe before end of the year or
so. Well, SendNames is freeware, so asking the author might help...

Then again, my R320s uses IrMC, the newer T39 uses SyncML as I
understand it. Searching for SyncML reveals a lot of press releases
but I haven't found anything one could put on a Palm device to enable
SyncML synchronization...
