Hey everyone, I have an Omnisky Palm V Wireless IP Modem for sale; comes complete in box with everything (you'll want to download the latest installer from the website, as the version I have on CD is the beta copy); unit is about 4 months old. I just haven't gotten as much use out of it as I thought I would! I double checked with Omnisky Customer Service when I cancelled the account, and they assured me there would be no problems with the new owner registering the modem. Asking price: $200 + shipping (retail price is $299). Drop me a line if you're interested! -- ---------------------------------------------------------------- Larry Anderson - retrogmr@ricochet.net Classic Games / PC-Engine collector with a bug for information! ----------------------------------------------------------------

You cheap!!! they sold you that modem for $199 when they first started their free beta service. Now you're selling it at $200. You better have a good explanation.... Larry-- I'm not here to complain about the price, but before you sell the modem your buyer needs to be aware that, as of now, Omnisky is not set up to sell its service separately from the modem itself. In other words, if someone buys the modem, he or she will not be able to buy service to go along with the modem. This may change in the next month or so, but right now the modem would not be able to connect to the Omnisky service. Seems like this is a pretty terrible analogy you've tried to draw. -- Andy Miller http://www.zone360.com

There have also been recent periods when RAM and active matrix LCD prices have gone up (not by 5X, but definitely up). I think the going prices of Newton 2x00's and some models of HP palmtops also rose above original retail for a period. IMHO. YMMV. -- Ron Nicholson rhn@nicholson.com http://www.nicholson.com/rhn/ #include <canonical.disclaimer> // only my own opinions, etc.

I can get ANY model of Apple computer at local thrifts and fleas for a few bucks. You just don't see too many original Apples, but they're out there. The V A S T majority of older computer equipment is next to worthless. The exception to this rule is classic video game consoles and some games for them (another topic entirely). b

That's $2000 in your pocket. You know where to find me. Bryan p.s. Stealing the one in the Smithsonian doesn't count.
