Virus and unable to restore !!!

Hello all,

Ok, I've got major problems. I think I've been infected with a virus. But
firstly I'm running Windows ME with pre-installed McAfee's anti-virus
software.

Ok, on start up, the following message appears

" the following file is missing or corrupted : C:\WINDOWS\IFSHLP.SYS

The following file is missing corrupted : C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VMM32.VXD
Type the name of the Windows loader (e.g., : C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VMM32.VXD)

Then I try to restore with the restore CD, and all I get is a loop, it tries
to load, then turns itself off, the turns on tries to load, then turns
itself off .

Please let me know if you require additional information.
