Dr Solomon's 7.84 has identified Burglar 1150 virus in a number
of files on my system. I have been trying to track down teh cause
of random reboots and PRIME95 reports of possible hardware
errors. Is this virus a possible culprit?

I know from the above softwaree what it does to files, but what
is it likely to do system wise?

David,

Have you tried any other anti virus apps (McAfee, Norton AV) for CMOS
viruses? Your other post of losing cmos settings could be battery (which
you replaced) problem or cmos virus. Boot from floppy (write protected)
then use McAfee or NAV.
Virus won't cause H/W problems(..PRIME95 reports of possible
hardware errors. Is this virus a possible culprit?) but can make system
do H/W funny type of stuff. or check out Symantec's site for Q & A's
http://www.sarc.com/

Good luck
