Dear fellow computer users, In my experiance I have had several problems with my computer. Some of them were because of me turning my computer and Periphs. off with a surge protector. The techniction told me that the proper way to shut down a computer is to shut off all Periphs. and the monitor first then shut the computer off. This should all be done with each units power switch and the surge protector left ON! Also make sure to shutdown prperly from windows first. Your Fellow computer user, Nick Stanley

Gee, I can't argue from any scientific basis, but I have been doing just the opposite for years, and I am on my fourth computer - never had a problem that I could trace to the use of my surge proctector to turn the entire batch of attached units off and on.
