Hello All,

I am seeking information about a modem. I have e-mailed the
manufacturers' several times and also tried their web site help page -
all with absolutely no response.

The item is a Dataflex Design modem, which identifies itself to Windows
95 as a "Dataflex Design PQ4.04AH".

It is an ISA slot device and has the following description on one side
of the plastic casing:

Dataflex Design
Dataflex Design Group PLC London England
Quadcom
V.21, V.22, V.22bis, V.23
PC CARD MODEM
with V.42 compatible error correction
and MNP5 data compression

On the other side of the casing are three labels, the first being a
white label:

A243053
TESTED

with the hand written initials and date:

RB
14/01/92

The second is a Modification Level label, with a 10 wide by 5 deep grid
having numbers "00" to "29" and letters "A" to "T"; with "Dataflex
Design Group PLC MLBL 10001". The "10" is blacked out.

And the third is the BABT Approval label:

REN = 3
BISCOM
MODEM
NS/3013/3/J/600665

As well as the component markings, the PCB has the following markings:

Dataflex Design
QUADCOM - 3

and:

CCK 2191

Any information that anyone is able to supply, with respect to getting
this device working under Windows 95, would be greatly appreciated.

The e-mail address is good.

Roger
